This video tells the true story of Company Quartermaster Havildar Abdul Hamid, one of the most extraordinary battlefield heroes of the 1965 Indo-Pak War.
As enemy tanks advanced through the sugarcane fields of Khem Karan, Abdul Hamid faced an armored assault with almost no heavy support. Using a recoilless rifle mounted on a simple army jeep, he moved constantly between fields, firing at close range and destroying multiple tanks. His actions halted the advance and gave his unit the time it needed to regroup.
While repositioning to engage another tank, his jeep was hit by a direct shell. He was killed in action, but his courage broke the enemy push and changed the course of the battle. He was posthumously awarded India’s highest military honor for bravery.
This is not a movie scene—this is real battlefield history.
If you’re interested in true war stories, military heroism, and real acts of courage, this story deserves to be remembered.
