Day Island, located off the mainland of University Place; rich with history and strong sense of community. Relatively unknown even among locals, surprising given its prime location on the water and minutes from University Place's business center and transit.
Two public beaches are located on Day Island. The S 19th beach (referred by locals) is also a prime diving location. Large octopus are said to live here and at low tide, beach goers have seen them hiding under rocks.
Day Island Club House is another optional membership for residents on the Island. Just $144 annually, your membership provides a discounted rate when renting out the club house for private gatherings and pays for the taxes and ongoing maintenance of the parks.
