This is the first in my new, low budget series on what I have been thinking about. In this installment I discuss why I believe Agentic is not just another buzz word, but actually the future of computing. I lay out a brief history of computer programming and discuss why I believe determinism is the barrier we must get over. Along the way I touch on Object-Oriented Programming and why we don’t actually do it. Then I talk about what is Agentic and give some ideas about why it, and non-determinism, will help us build the sorts of systems we actually want in computers.
This is just me and a whiteboard. Anyone hoping for fancy animation or deep code dives, sorry you won’t find it here. In future episodes I may include some code, but not this one.
