Filmed and produced by 1080 Media TV during the the PWA World Tour Windsurfing event in Fuerteventura earlier this year, this video has been nominated for the famous Sportel Awards in Monaco, in the 'Slow Motion' category.
Only 3 of the many submissions received from around the broadcast world are nominated in each category. The video shows the emotion, the skill and the incredible power of the freestyle competition at the 2023 Fuerteventura PWA Grand Slam in the Canary islands. Sarah-Quita Offringa from Aruba, rose to the occasion once again, capturing her 14th Freestyle world title, while Yentel Caers from Belgium scored his first victory on the World Tour. Both feature in the video.
Other nominees across the various awards categories include France Televisions, Fox Sports, Canal+, Sky Creative, and the Olympic Channel among others,.
The awards take place in Monaco on October 23rd, and will be broadcast live on TV Monaco and online.
