We rode the Stairway to Hell (and it lived up to the name)

Описание: We’re currently in our off season and a few month hiatus from racing has us looking for some personal challenges to keep the motivation up and our riding and fitness sharp. Today we’re heading to San Ysidro to tackle what we would consider the hardest mountain bike climb in New Mexico – the aptly named Stairway to Hell.

While there are definitely longer climbs in the area, we’ve yet to find anything that rivals this one for non-stop relentless technical climbing, one heart-rate spiking punch after another for three miles. It’s been described as horrendous, heinous and horrific. In other words, our favorite type of riding.
