Still in Dublin, Lisa continues on her quest to find a Spice Bag...but with a twist. She's told that she can find one at Howth (Binn Éadair) and so visits Tara Street Station to take the DART to Howth. Once she gets there her adventure takes on a whole new focus, as she's invited to take a cruise in a fishing boat - along with a family visiting from the US - around Ireland's Eye.
Howth is about 13km east-north-east of Dublin, and is reached quite easily by DART (Dublin Area Rapid Transit) from Tara Street Station. From Howth Station it's a short distance to the harbour. Once there you'll find there are a few companies who offer cruises around - and sometimes to make landfall - on Ireland's Eye. We travelled with Ireland's Eye Ferries: www.irelandseyeferries.com The cruise around the island cost €10 round trip, but landfall costs €15. Contact them ahead of your planned trip to make sure they're running that day, as trips are offered subject to the weather conditions.
