BEER BATTER ONION BLOSSOM, AIR FRYER

Описание: In this video I show y'all how to make a beer batter onion blossom in the air fryer. This all-time favorite appetizer is so easy to make especially in the air fryer and there's no messy oil to cleanup. Sweet onion cut into a blossom then dipped in a deliciously easy to prepare seasoned beer batter then air fried until golden brown and crispy. Ready in just under 20 minutes. Serve with your favorite dipping sauce.

Shopping List:
1 large Vidalia sweet onion
1 3/4 cups all purpose flour
1/3 cup corn starch
2 tsp. garlic powder
2 tsp. paprika
12 ounces of beer

Directions:
Pre-heat air fryer on 375.
Cut off the stem end of the onion so it's flat. Do not cut the root end, which is the end with the bushy like hair.
Lay the onion down on the flat end and using a knife, start the cut about 1/2 inch from the root end, doing your best not to sever the root. Cut straight down. If using a blossom cutter, flip the onion to where the flat end is on top. Place the blossom cutter evenly across the top of the onion, grab the handles and press downward. Be careful when removing it so as to not sever the root, or the onion will not stay together.
With your fingers carefully fan out the petals to create a blossom effect.
Make your batter using the ingredients listed above and mix to pancake batter-like consistency.
Place the onion in the batter making sure all of the petals are coated. Use a spoon to assist with this.
Remove the onion from the batter letting the excess drip off.
Place the battered onion in the air fryer basket, lightly tent with foil and cook on 375 for 18-20 minutes or until golden brown and crispy.
Carefully remove the onion from the air fryer basket and serve with your favorite dipping sauce.
