Day 7

I had to go back to Mabe Village to pick up Marin since there was a walrus blocking the path to the desert. Many of the monsters had been cleared out so I was sure Marin would be ok coming with me.
Marin was looking out at the ocean when I found her. I sat with her and we talked for a bit. She wants to become a seagull and sing for everyone. Part of me wanted to ask her to come with me to Hyrule, but...I don't know. I know Zanji would welcome her into our home to stay and Zelda would be friendly to her, but...there's this feeling that I can't.
I asked Marin to come with me to Animal Village and she agreed to come help wake up the walrus. The walk was very nice and there weren't any monsters to bother us. The animals were very excited to see Marin. After she woke up the walrus, she decided to stay in Animal Village to sing for the animals.
I asked Marin if she wanted me to escort her back home when she's ready and she said she would be fine.
I walked into the desert. It was pretty small. No sandfall. The only large part was an area filled with quicksand that was home to a lanmola. Having fought this creature before, it wasn't hard to beat. After it was destroyed, a weirdly shaped key appeared. It looked like a fish climbing a waterfall.
As I was exiting the desert, the owl appeared to tell me that I'd have to fall to find the entrance to the dungeon. Hmmm, I'll have to ask Marin if there's a strange keyhole near a waterfall anywhere on the island.
