After blocking railway tracks to protest against the new farm bill laws in Punjab, the farmers have decided to clear the railway tracks but only for goods trains. Union Home Minister Amit Shah assured that the train services will also be resumed soon.
Earlier, Railway Minister Piyush Goyal had urged the State Government to ensure safety in the railway system and stated that it is important for tracks and stations to be cleared for safety. It is also said that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh and Chief Secretary will hold a key meeting with the Railway Minister.
