As a result of an increased focus on chemical quality in stormwater and a more restrictive practice for the discharge of stormwater, WSP has assisted The Danish EPA in characterizing different stormwater treatment solutions. Traditional treatment in wet ponds only removes particles and the pollution bound in the particles, but with solutions based on chemical precipitation and adsorption it is also possible to remove dissolved pollution components.
The presentation will review known and new treatment methods, their effect and the financial costs of treating stormwater. The webinar is relevant for everyone who works with stormwater, treatment methods and discharge permits.
