Three of us backpacked along Canada’s Great Divide Trail in July 2021, starting from Kananaskis Lakes in Alberta and hiking to Aurora Creek in eastern British Columbia, for four amazing days. Highlights of the trip include Three Isle Lake, Beatty Lake, traversing a scree slope below Mount Beatty, the historic Palliser River and Palliser Pass, and hiking through the grizzly habitat of Owl Lake, Marvel Pass, and Cabin Lake before descending through the scenic Aurora Creek valley.
