The idea behind this short film was conceived in my head sometime in early March 2014, toying around the theme of 'Parents' Love' and how best to shoot a short film on it. And i started off by thinking of my own mum and dad, and what are the two things they do most daily that best express their love for their own children. It was not difficult - Mum cooking my favorite dishes (though she don't always cook nowadays) and Dad doing his ritual morning prayers using joss sticks every morning without fail, for my safety in my daily routine at work and outside the home. With that two scenes planted in my head, it formed the backbone of this short film and i knew exactly what and how i wanted to film and express it. Shot entirely on my Canon 600D over the past two days and an entire day today editing and doing post production work on my computer, it is close to what i envision this short film to be. Finally, these scenes that have been playing and spinning around in my head for the past few months can finally be played out in this film. Clocking at just over 1 minute and 20 seconds, it is a very short film but i hope the message in it stays eternal, not just for me but hopefully for some of you who might enjoy this short movie, as much i had enjoyed making it. Finally, i thank my mum and dad for their incredible natural acting and their willingness to take part and realize my film project. This film is dedicated to My Mum & Dad, I you both.
