Penang Hokkien is a local variant of Hokkien that is widely spoken in Penang, Malaysia. This Chinese dialect is spoken as a mother tongue by the majority of Penang's Chinese community.
As the dialect has many phrases and words which are distinct from Southern Peninsular Malaysian Hokkien and Taiwanese Hokkien, let's have Andy and Sam share some of the local Hokkien words that are commonly used by Penangites!
