In this video we breakdown the costs and expense we experienced so you can use it as a baseline for your trip. These are OUR expense. Your mileage may vary greatly. We are average people that live an average life and live generally below our means (in fact we try to live off just one of our incomes and save/invest the other). If you are used to staying in 5 star resorts and eating in a fancy restaurant each night then this is not the video for you. Conversely, If you are used to couch surfing and staying at hostels this is also not the video for you. We go to other countries to see how the average person lives and when possible we try to emulate that to a degree. HOWEVER we are also used to some creature comforts and do not mind upgrading a bit to ensure we enjoy our trip. So take this information for what it is. You can easily spend much more than we spent but you can also spend far less. If you were to rent an apartment you can easily find a place for $400-500usd rather than the $1345 we spent on the airbnb. That is probably your biggest savings opportunity. But again this is what we spent.
