In today’s video, I’m sharing a soft, melt-in-the-mouth Mysore Pak recipe, made using a very easy and smooth method.
This is my first YouTube video, and I’m so happy to start my journey with this classic South Indian sweet.

Mysore Pak is a traditional and famous South Indian sweet that originated in the royal kitchens of Mysore, Karnataka. It is made using simple ingredients like gram flour (besan), ghee, and sugar, but the correct technique gives it its rich taste and soft, melt-in-the-mouth texture. Mysore Pak is known for its golden color, aromatic ghee flavor, and porous yet smooth structure. It is especially prepared during festivals, celebrations, and special occasions, and is loved across India for its rich, classic taste.

INGREDIENTS:
• 1 cup gram flour (besan)
• 1 cup ghee
• 1 cup sugar
• ½ cup water

METHOD / STEPS:
1. Stir the besan well to remove all lumps.
2. In another bowl, melt the ghee.
3. Add besan to the melted ghee and mix until smooth and lump-free.
4. In a pan, add sugar and water and prepare one-string consistency chashni.
5. Lower the flame and slowly add the besan–ghee mixture to the chashni.
6. Mix continuously on low to medium flame until the mixture becomes thick and leaves the sides.
7. Pour the mixture into a tin lined with cling wrap.
8. Cover with a plate and press gently.
9. Let it rest for 10–15 minutes, then cut and serve.
