Anwar al-Awlaki has become famous among Muslim youth. He used to be on the same understanding of Islam as the scholars of Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah, and after 9/11 he also condemned this terrorism. But later he got misguided and left the understanding of Ahlus Sunnah and started propagating extreme things such us killing innocent people. Should we listen to him when we know that he deviated in the concept of Jihad? Listen to Shaykh Dr. Yasir Qadhi answer the question:

Anwar al-Awlaki har blitt kjent blant muslimsk ungdom. Han pleide å være på samme forståelse av islam som de lærde av Ahlus Sunnah wal Jama'ah, og etter 9/11 fordømte han også denne terrorisme. Men senere ble han misledet og forlot forståelsen av Ahlus Sunnah og begynte å spre ekstreme ting som f.eks. det å drepe uskyldige mennesker.
