Mayo Clinic Researchers Identify Successful Combination Therapies to Treat Myeloma Patients

Описание: Researchers at Mayo Clinic in Arizona have identified successful combination of therapies for the treatment of myeloma patients who are resistant to the drug bortezomib. In the study using a mouse model, Mayo researchers assessed the anti-myeloma activity of 30 known and novel compounds, many of which currently in clinical trials, and found combination therapies that were effective. From this study, the most promising class of novel agents in clinical trials are the HDAC inhibitors vorinostat and panobinostat.
