Training update for Jake the Bull Terrier X and YoYo the Staffy X Sharpei

Описание: Firstly apologies this is a little late to post. It has been big days at the farm getting these beautiful boys ready for their new homes.

Another fantastic day for both Jake and YoYo who are kicking goals right left and centre! We’re so proud of them.

Jake the Bull Terrier is now on Day 6 and YoYo on just Day 3. But look at the improvement in this sweet boy YoYo.

The biggest observation for us is that this poor boy, only 11 months old hasn’t had any positive socialisation, but all he wants to do is have a friend. And guess who’s his new best friend? Yep Jake. This is heartwarming stuff for us. I have to say I think it’s been a journey of the heart for Luke himself, reminding him of where he started with dogs and perhaps how he needs to continue to give back in the future.

Jake and YoYo worked on socialisation, continually raising the bar. No halter, no lead, free range and even a bush run together.

They also worked on impulse control, listening under extremely high distractions and boy did they excel. These dogs are awesome.

At the end of the day, they joined our dogs for feeding and were flawless in manners and performance.

We will continue to work over the weekend with these guys ready for Jake’s departure for his forever home (we will bring another dog out for training to take Jake’s place at the farm). They have a TV and newspaper appearance booked in early in the week adding models under their belts now too!

YoYo is still up for adoption, we will continue to have him ready for his home and train you his new owner in the training free of charge. We will also be here to support you in the future if you ever need. Please get in contact with Central Coast Animal Care Facility if you’re interested in adopting YoYo, you won’t be disappointed. He is a beautiful boy who now has, and will continue to improve on, a very useful and impressive set of skills.

Whilst his original profile suggested a home without other dogs due to his boisterous/dominant play, this will not be the case once YoYo leaves the farm. We will do introductions with your household and ensure a smooth transition.

We’d also like to express a big thank you to you our followers local and overseas. Your positive support, encouragement and sharing of these dogs’ videos has helped tremendously. Together we feel like we’re giving these dogs the best possible chance at finding their forever homes. Thank you.
