Another stop, another milestone. EUBC HUB recently signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Cagayan Economic Zone Authority (CEZA) to officially instate its presence in the Philippines as part of its commitment.

The signing took place during the Blockchain for Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Tour Summit stop in Manilla, Philippines on 22 November 2018 – where Blaz Golob, President of EUBC HUB, Rex Yeap, Chairman of EUBC Asia Node and Raul L. Lambino, Administrator and CEO of CEZA established the mutual understanding which will invitably pave the path for an international adoption and utilisation of Blockchain-based platforms.

CEZA is a government owned and controlled corporation which has been assigned to manage the development of the Cagayan Special Economic Zone and Freeport (CSEZFP). CEZA aims to develop the Cagayan Valley to be the “FinTech City” or the “Silicon Valley” of Asia.

Besides the significant signing of MoU between EUBC HUB and CEZA, the Blockchain for SDGs Tour Summit also acted as a platform where great projects’ collaborations happened. EUBC HUB and CEZA stood to witness yet another impactful collaboration of Blockchain technology for green energy market between EUNEX – the leading digital asset exchange platform and SunContract, a peer to peer energy trading platform.
