Kings Selma

Описание: A polska efter Kings Selma, who was a fiddler in Mora in Dalarna, early 20th century. The tune is well known as one of Hedningarna's (from their second album, "Kaksi!"), though they did not play it on bagpipes.

On bagpipes, the challenge of this tune is that it requires playing both c" and c#". Therefore, the chanter has to be tuned to major. I play the c"-notes in the second part by carefully bending up the finger instead of lifting it off, uncovering just the c" hole.
