Emily as a cellist & composer incorporates within some of her music productions her personal response to global issues. The track featured here is "Sisters in the Forest" from her 2024 album release "At the turning of the World"
Performance excerpts featured in this video include a corporate special event for the organisation Global Canopy (global canopy.org) , and her solo performance & video presentation for COP 26 in Glasgow.
Over the years through her direct association with indigenous people in Brazil commencing with her performance at Eco 92 ( the first global climate conference Rio de Janeiro 1992) to the excerpt featured here at COP 26 in Glasgow she uses music to convey the natural landscape which inspires her by integrating her field recordings be it from the Amazon or the natural habitat of the UK .
"Sisters in the Forest" was premiered at Cop 26 with an accompanying single release and is also featured on Emily's 2024 EP release "At the turning of the World"
