Review of the scheming wife and murderess from this adaptation of Gillian Flynn's novel (who also wrote the screenplay), that starred Ben Affleck in the lead role. The summary covers the initial setup and "unreliable narrator" diary entries / flashbacks, the reveal of Amy as the mastermind behind her own disappearance, Amy's manipulation / framing of a second man, and her husband's attempts to expose her.

Extended honourable mention for Shattered (1991), a twisty thriller starring Tom Berenger as the amnesiac Dan Merrick and Greta Scacchi as his scheming / murderous wife Judith.
