On 15th September 1940, one of the most famous dates of the Second World War, the skies above Britain erupted in chaos.
It was Battle of Britain Day.
And somewhere above Kent, a young RAF fighter pilot named Flying Officer Arthur Peter Pease climbed into his Spitfire and took off to intercept the incoming German raids.
He never came home.
In this documentary-style episode, we follow the life and final days of Peter Pease of No. 603 Squadron RAF, tracing his journey from privilege and education to the deadly intensity of the Battle of Britain.
This is not just the story of a crash.
It’s the story of how quickly a life could be swallowed by the sky in the summer of 1940.
