Just finished building this Shop made steady rest with locking cam. The difference here is I made a cam for easy lock and steel arms I just need to make handles for the lock screws that lock the arms in position. The cam works like a charm and easy to get it on the bed way
The idea behind this was not to have to use any tools to put it on the lathe . lock it down or make any adjustments.
I have been thinking about this froe a while and thinking how I could make it work.
I think this is a great design for those who want something with a little twist.
