Ingredients
For Pakoda:
Besan (gram flour) – 1 cup
Onion (chopped) – 1
Green chilli – 1 (finely chopped)
Ginger garlic pest -1tsp
Salt – to taste
Haldi- 1/2 tea spoon
Water – little (to make thick batter)
Oil – for frying
For Kadhi:
Curd (yogurt) – 1 cup
Besan – 1 tbsp
Turmeric powder – ½ tsp
Red chilli powder – ½ tsp
Salt – to taste
Water – 4 cups
For Tadka (tempering):
Oil or ghee – 2 tbsp
Mustard seeds – 1 tsp
Cumin seeds – 1 tsp
Curry leaves – few
Dry red chilli – 1–2
Ginger paste – 1 tsp
Garlic paste – 1tsp
👩🍳 Method
Step 1: Make Pakoda
Mix besan, onion, green chilli, ajwain, salt and water (thick batter).
Heat oil and deep fry small pakodas till golden brown.
Keep aside.
Step 2: Prepare Kadhi
In a bowl mix curd, besan, turmeric, chilli powder, salt and water. Whisk well (no lumps).
Heat oil in pan, add mustard seeds, cumin, curry leaves, red chilli, ginger & garlic.
Pour kadhi mixture and cook on low flame.
Stir continuously till it becomes thick (10–15 minutes).
Step 3: Add Pakoda
Put fried pakodas into kadhi.
Garnish with coriander leaves 🌿
