You literally don't have a business without clients. So I'm going to lay out the top 5 methods that have been working for me in 2019.

1. Cross check Yelp businesses with Indeed.com for companies that are hiring - So this is very basic. Go to Yelp, type in the industry you want to find clients in, let's say its plumbing companies, type in "plumbing" within a 50 mile radius of your city. You'll get 1k + results. Go then and check indeed on all of the companies you think look good to see if they have positions posted. If they do, CHA CHING, these people are hiring, (and you just played detective to find out)- go about contacting the decision makers.

2. Facebook Job groups and company facebook pages stating "we're hiring". This is a super easy way to find clients, go into job groups in your city, like literally join every one of them. Then go into the largest one's and just scroll and find companies posting they need X, Y, Z employees. DON'T COMMENT ON THE POST. You're playing detective again..instead, go find their company website, find the decision makers, send a cold email or again, connect with them on LinkedIn, (always a good move). Facebook is a treasure trove to find companies that are hiring, but the key is to just gather that information and then connect with them elsewhere.

3. Literally just scrolling indeed/ziprecruiter/careerbuilder/monster for companies that are hiring in your area. Understand the logic here. These companies are advertising their positions and they're putting out money to do so. It may not be a huge sum of money, but they're spending money on finding candidates. This means that they're already prepared to PAY to get candidates. What better companies to target then one's that are already paying to find candidates! Use common sense here, don't just target any of these companies...find the companies that are small-medium that would work with you. CONNECT RIGHT AWAY. Again, find the decision makers, go through the backdoor and shoot a cold email or call their way.

4. CONTENT searches on both LinkedIn and Facebook. So these are killer, and I've seen success myself and with many other recruiters. Go on LinkedIn and find the tab that says "content" it'll be next to the "people" or "company" tabs at the top left, then type in the search bar something like "we're hiring" or "hiring now" or "I'm hiring" ...then hit enter and watch the magic appear.. if you did this right you should be seeing hundreds of posts from companies YOU can target where the recruiter or H.R or a manager is literally saying "we're hiring" and post or comment on their post by saying, "would love to connect with you, sending you an Inmail right now". Then proceed to either Inmail them or send a connection request. Get a conversation started, pitch/offer them your services and get a client out of it. Keep in mind, LinkedIn content searches are going to be more about higher level things like sales, or management etc, but hey, if you want to scale, get these clients too! It's just leveling up! It's the same tactic on Facebook but instead of hitting "content" you're searching for "posts" and type in "we're hiring" or "I'm hiring" etc and find those companies.

5. Last but not least I wanted to stress the importance of finding clients through referrals and networking. Start conversations wherever you are. Networking is so underrated it isn't even funny, if you aren't networking properly you're leaving thousands and thousands of dollars on the table. I personally need to get better at this. Picture this, you see a company you want to target...go on LinkedIn, find one of their employees, just connect with them and start up small chat, don't pitch them anything just ask them how they like working at ABC company..from there move on build some rapport (over days), then ask them a question like, are you guys hiring more of X,Y,Z, positions? Regardless of their answer, GET A CONTACT OUT OF THEM, find out who you can talk to at their company about working with them as a staffing partner, make them a client!
