I recently picked up a Daihatsu Charade G100 that’s been engine-swapped with a Honda D15B non-VTEC, and this video is a first look at the car as it sits today.
In this video, I do a full walkaround, talk through the engine swap, point out some minor issues that need sorting, and take the car out for a slow neighborhood drive to get a feel for it. Despite a few things to address, it’s a surprisingly sweet and promising little car.
The plan? Sort out the small issues, daily drive it, and eventually take it out for gymkhana and slalom sessions.
