Replacing Rear Shocks And Springs -- 1994-1996 Chevy Caprice 9C1, Impala SS, Buick Roadmaster

Описание: Join us in the garage today as we replace the rear shocks and springs on a 1994 Chevrolet Caprice 9C1.

The original springs are sagging, which is common on this age of car.
At least one of the old shocks are leaking, which is a safety concern.


Most of the hand tools and parts needed to do this job are outlined in the video.


IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTES:
1) Shocks and springs can change the dynamics of a car.
2) If any suspension parts are in poor condition, THEY MUST BE REPLACED.
3) If any parts are lost or missing, THEY MUST BE REPLACED.
4) If any parts do not meet factory specifications, THEY MUST BE REPLACED.
5) Pay special attention to rubber parts, especially bushings. If any signs of cracking, splitting, excessive hardness, or noise, THEY MUST BE REPLACED.
6) If you are uncertain how parts go back together, GET HELP FROM A QUALIFIED MECHANIC.
7) Before driving the vehicle, have the work INSPECTED BY A QUALIFIED MECHANIC.
8) Do not drive a vehicle with malfunctioning suspension parts. Any malfuctions should be DIAGNOSED BY A QUALIFIED MECHANIC.
9) Consult the factory service manual for all torque specifications, even if they are called out in my videos. I AM NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR MISTAKES.
