Embark with Thylacine as he takes us on this life-change two-week journey, discussing his creative process, using nature recordings and electronic composition, as well as the technical workaround in capturing the needed material with his sidekick Cecile Chabert.


The 'Polar' video was created in Norway during a two-week residency on the Polar Front boat. In this interview, Thylacine tells us about the sound recording equipment he used to capture the beautiful nuances of nature. Each piece of sound recording and audio equipment he used had a purpose. The microphones allowed him to record high-quality sound, while his headphones became of paramount importance in identifying the subtle, harmonic sounds of nature.
