Описание: The composer writes: ‘The Ballade is written in memory of the French composer Edgard Varèse, who liked to refer to music as “organized sound”. For this piece I have selected some melodic and rhythmic elements from his works. In a symbolic way, the piece includes a small percussive element (percussion and rhythmic development were greatly featured in his works) which unlike the rest of the piece remains undeveloped. The idea is to focus on these materials in different levels, but at the same time, providing a more flexible discourse by forcing deviations towards elements taken from the ballades written by Chopin and Brahms.’
