Many called him a loser, utterly spineless like a sponge. His so called "friends" picked on him relentlessly, up until one day, they made a deal. They would stop calling him names, but only if he proved to them he wasn't a coward. They dared him jump into the sea and stay there for a few minutes, regardless of what happens to him.
It only took a minute for Warren to notice the commotion, shooing the onlookers away and pulling King out. He didn't seem to be in any pain, so Warren sent him home. The next day, three grotesque heads began to sprout from his back. They don't seem to be hostile, rather puppy-like in nature, but they do have some parasitic tendencies, siphoning all of Kings energy into them.
He's rather self conscious of these creatures, hating how deformed it makes him look to others, but the heads care about his deeply. Perhaps that's why Omar's discomfort around him set him off so easily...
