Laboratory Medicine can save and improve lives, and the technology and systems that it’s built around can have a fundamental impact on its ability to do so. Since 1989 the Division of Clinical Chemistry has been adopting new technology to improve its approach to clinical chemistry.

With a test menu that includes more than 200 test items with an annual volume in excess of 2.5 million tests, the Division of Clinical Chemistry is focused on innovation to meet the needs of their patients. As such they’ve pioneered the use of Toxicology Diagnostic Management Teams (DMT) and Clinical Chemistry Rounds, allowing the team to improve patient care, improve patient outcomes and reduce healthcare costs
