The Teaser builds mobility & flexibility in your spine when you work on rolling up & down one vertebra at a time.
This Pilates exercise strengthens your hip flexors and abdominal muscles. In fact, the Teaser is much more effective than crunches at targeting your external obliques and rectus abdominis.
The Teaser demonstrates strength, flexibility, control, and balance. All of these are successfully executed with precision, control, and mind-body connection throughout the entirety of this exercise
The Teaser strengthens and stretches the front and back of the body simultaneously. Teaser on the Cadillac is one of the easiest variations but still very challenging.
Lie down on bag, arms extended up.
Inhale to prepare
Push bar up as you engage powerhouse and lift torso up, rolling up bone by bone,
Lift feet up at the same time, keeping feet in-line with eyes.
Think about a book closing on its spine, coming up into the V Sit/ Teaser position
Variations at the top: bend & straighten arms, pumping the bar as you keep feet still or keep torso still & lifted while you lift & lower the legs.
Inhale. And as you exhale slowly lower back to the mat, articulating down bone by bone. Head and feet follow one another, landing at the same time!
