Learn how to sharpen a knife or tool to a truly razor-sharp edge.
In this video I explain the tools, techniques, and theory behind sharpening single-bevel edges used in crafts like leatherworking and woodworking. I also break down the anatomy of a cutting edge so you can understand what actually makes a tool sharp, and how to achieve that sharpness consistently.
This guide focuses on single-bevel tools such as skiving knives, leather knives, and other craft blades. A future video will cover sharpening double-bevel knives such as kitchen or hunting knives.
This video took nearly two months to complete, and I'm very proud to finally share it. I hope it helps you achieve the level of sharpness you're looking for in your tools.
