This is a great alternate picking exercise but also a great overall technique builder! This is challenging for the left and right hand.
The exercise is ascending and descending the strings using triads within the key. for each triad I'm playing the (1 5 3) instead of the (1 3 5) which is what creates the challenge for the right hand to jump back and forth between the strings.
Creating a fun riff like this will always be more exciting to practise than a boring scale exercise. Especially with this awesome backing track!
