Welcome to Maple Monkey Homestead, the 12x12 tiny cabin in the woods. In todays episode I am getting around to getting the heat shield set up behind the wood stove, its been on my to do list for a little bit now, so I figure what better time then now. I used some old tin I had from a neighbour that I cut to length to put behind the wood stove to act as a heat shield, not only will it serve its purpose it will look pretty cool when that whole wall is finished. Getting ready for the winter months ahead and checking off these items at the offgrid cabin is a good feeling moving forward. The only thing I will come back and change about the heat shield installation is the spacers I used so I could have a 1 inch air gap behind the heat shield and the wall.
