Nuclear weapons might be the BEST way forward for Europe & Canada, here's why

For years, nuclear weapons were seen as a Cold War problem, something handled by the United States, Russia, and a handful of others. But as global politics shift toward a world where power increasingly shapes outcomes, that assumption is being tested. In this video, I look at Europe’s forgotten nuclear history, from Sweden and Switzerland to Spain and Italy, and explain how close some countries actually came to building nuclear weapons during the Cold War.

We then move to the present: Europe’s nuclear power base, its missile industries, and the political realities surrounding France and the UK — the continent’s only nuclear-armed states. Finally, I explain why, despite long opposing nuclear weapons for my own country, I now believe nuclear deterrence may once again matter in a world where might increasingly makes right.
