*Not my property/not for-profit.* Cal State Records 3201-A : The Sisters Love was formed in 1968 by Gwen Berry, Vermettya Royster, Lillie Fort, and Gwen Berry--all former members of The Raelettes--along with mates Jeannie Long and Odia Coates. Now a Los Angeles-based group, they were signed to Man Child Records for their first single in 1968; followed by A&M for seven more singles from 1969-1971; followed by Motown for five more between 1972 and 1973; with some isolated one-off singles along the way. This is their single released after their time on A&M and before their singing to Motown. The same track appears on both sides. Various members went on to have careers of their own, notably Clayton and Coates, the latter of whom recording with Paul Anka for a time before her passing in 1991. The Sisters Love was releasing new material as of fairly recently, with their most recent major-label release "With Love" released through Universal in 2010, and scattered indie-label releases and reissues throughout the 2010s.
*This is a direct vinyl transfer, straight from the platter to the line-in on my Tascam digital recorder, saved as a 24-bit .WAV file, and synced to the video.* Always #ortofon
