In order to shape the future and be competitive in the digital age the US government and military will need to embrace new and evolving technologies as well as the ideals of innovation, agility, and efficiency. The US Air Force is spearheading many of these modernization efforts through innovative collaboration with industry partners and the creation of well over a dozen software factories in a singular ecosystem. These software factories are developing and promoting engineering and security best practices to improve performance, reliability, and security of government software.
