We explain what Load Shifting is, and how it allows solar systems to store your excess solar energy into a residential or commercial battery, allowing you to use that energy at a later time of day.
Key Points:
1. Load shifting is the ability to store your battery power and sell it back to your utility provider (PG&E) during certain times of the day.
2. The purpose of load shifting is to take your power generation, which peaks at about 1 or 2 pm, and shift it to selling the power back to PG&E from your battery between 4 to 9pm when power is not being generated as much.
3. A battery can ensure your home is resilient from outages.
