Customer originally had the engine inframed but because the injector oil seal was over tightened, the threads were stripped and allowed oil to spill out.
About 4 gallons of oil leaked, this could have caused catastrophic engine failure due to negligence. Good thing the driver was on top of it and was able to add oil ass needed and get the truck home safely. This allowed the owner to make the necessary corrections and bring the truck in to be worked on correctly.
CAM replacement takes about 10-12 hours in labor plus parts. The CAM housing will cost about $2000 plus any additional parts.
