This Preserving America profile features Heritage Hill State Historical Park, a 56-acre open-air museum dedicated to interpreting the history of Northeastern Wisconsin and its people. The park houses 26 historical and reproduction structures and is divided into four distinct areas featuring the fur trade industry, Fort Howard, the growth of Green Bay into a burgeoning metropolis, and immigrant farming communities in the early 20th century. A robust living history program enhances the visitor experience and brings Northeast Wisconsin’s past to life.
Find out how Heritage Hill State Historical Park used its grant award to fund new uniforms and musical instruments for a growing Fife & Drum Corps as a part of the park’s public education outreach and daily interpretive programs.
The Preserving America Grant Program series profiles recipients that are telling the incredible story of our country from its founding era through its first century as a nation. View the profiles on our website at https://www.americanacorner.com/prese....
