The first of many examples of the Italian operatic character of many of the South American anthems. There is definitely a sense of grandeur about this.

For this anthem, I found sheet music which definitely helped me out, but I added in things that I heard in recordings to make things more interesting. Since anthems aren't under copyright, I can post sheet music links without issue! This is what I used: http://petrucci.mus.auth.gr/imglnks/u...

The Brazilian National Anthem was composed by Francisco Manuel da Silva, with the lyrics being adopted in 1922.
