On 1 January 2024, the European Union will introduce a new tax law named “Pillar Two”. These new regulations will be applicable to groups with a turnover of more than EUR 750 million. It includes both a potential tax levy i.e., a minimum taxation of 15%, and documentation obligation for the targeted groups. The Netherlands is one of the countries that will introduce the Pillar 2 tax system. Groups that include Dutch group companies can be affected by the Pillar Two rules and become subject to additional compliance obligations.
