Towards the end of 2005 the WWE released a Bret Hart documentary. On an episode of Raw Vince McMahon watched the whole presentation and he went to the ring to gloat about screwing Bret at Survivor Series 1997. When Shawn Michaels told Vince that maybe Mr. McMahon should move on and grow up Vince became irate. For the next few months McMahon would do everything to make Shawn's life difficult (even attempting to get Shawn to walk out of the WWE) but Michaels stayed put and eventually McMahon would face Shawn in a match at WrestleMania.
Shawn Michaels vs Vince McMahon at WrestleMania 22 turned out a lot better than expected, but the rivalry wouldn't end after the Mania encounter.
