'The Gouged Bowl' - Part 3
With the bowl turning the foundations for the gougework and milkpaint is set. We are ready to rock!
Making the bowl even more unique takes time and is pretty tough when in seasoned wood. But, it's totally worth it!
In this video I use a Hans Karlsson heavy beating gouge and blue milkpaint mixed with a bit white, to get the colour. Finishing with sandpaper to highlighting the ridges and then applying coldpressed linseed oil + beeswax.
1: Sharpening: bowl- and spindle gouges on Tormek T-8 with the SVD-186 and TSS-100
2: Bowlturning: turning and sanding a maple bowl from a seasoned plank
3: Gouge and paint: making the decorative gouge work, sharpening it with a SVS-50 multi Jig and finishing with milkpaint and coldpressed linseed oil + beeswax.
