Hiring in India feels expensive today. Payroll costs keep rising. Every new hire adds pressure on cash flow. Many founders and business owners delay hiring because of this fear.
But what if the Government of India actually pays you to hire?
In this video, we explain the Pradhan Mantri Viksit Bharat Rozgar Yojana or PM VBRY in simple terms. This is a government hiring incentive scheme that most startups, MSMEs, and growing companies are not using properly.
Under PM VBRY, businesses that create new jobs can receive a reimbursement of ₹3,000 per employee every month. This benefit continues for two years and extends to four years for manufacturing companies. That means you can save up to ₹72,000 per hire while building your team.
We break down eligibility clearly. Companies with less than 50 employees need to hire just two new people. Companies with 50 or more employees need to hire five new people. These must be new roles, not replacements. The scheme applies to employees earning up to ₹1,00,000 per month and works through the regular PF contribution process.
This incentive becomes even more powerful when hiring first-time employees or freshers entering the formal workforce. Businesses benefit from lower hiring risk and improved retention, while employees also receive direct incentives.
The catch is timing. This scheme applies only to jobs created before July 2027. Most founders will realize this too late. Smart businesses are planning their hiring strategy now.
If government incentives can reduce your hiring cost, would you still say hiring in India is expensive? Watch the full video to understand how PM VBRY can change the way you scale your team.
