The Exploring Croatia tour starts in Venice, with easy flights from North America. A private shuttle transfer takes guests straight to the Istrian countryside where we stay in the ancient hilltop village of Motovun, a perfectly located base for exploring Istria, with its history, rich culture, and Mediterranean vibe. While in Istria we visit a local winery and also participate in a truffle hunt.

From Istria, a private shuttle takes us to Plitvice Lakes National Park, one of the world’s great natural wonders. We stay two nights at Plitvice Lakes National Park which enables us enter the park early, beat the crowds, and enjoy a full day to take in the best of the park. Our deluxe lodge is within walking distance of the park, so you won’t miss a beat.

We descend from Plitvice Lakes National Park to the coast and the historic port city of Split. In Roman times, Split was part of the Roman Empire, and the seat of Emperor Diocletian. We stay within the walls of Diocletian’s Palace, a perfect location that guarantees you’ll be able to see the best Split has to offer.

From the coast of Split we take off for the spectacular beauty of the Adriatic islands and the Dalmatian Coast. You’ll visit the islands of Hvar, Korčula, and Mljet, which encompasses Mljet National Park.

We conclude the tour in Dubrovnik, one of the most beautiful cities in the world. You may recognize its glistening limestone streets and monumental architecture as the setting for Game of Thrones and other motion pictures. But now you’ll feel especially connected to this amazing seaside fortress as you walk the streets and explore it in depth.
