After completing his visit to Turkey, Pope Leo XIV will travel to Lebanon, where he will meet with civil and religious leaders, as well as members of the Maronite Church. The Maronite Church, an Eastern Catholic Church in full communion with Rome, is centered in Lebanon and is named after Saint Maron, a fourth-century hermit. Bishop Gregory Mansour, Eparch of the Maronite Eparchy of St. Maron of Brooklyn, joins to discuss the significance of Pope Leo’s trip. He reflects on how Maronite Catholics may view this visit and the potential impact of the Pope’s recent Apostolic Letter on the Nicene Creed for dialogue between the Catholic and Orthodox Churches.
