OMG, the Blast Impulse got an RG?! What world do we live in? Honestly, it's hard to believe that the Blast Impulse would get any more love. But thanks to SEED Freedom, Bandai (presumably) begrudgingly made an RG kit of the Blast Impulse Gundam in the form of the Spec II. It is quite an odd move on their part to make the Spec II before the vanilla version, but that's just colors. Mechanically, the core body is identical to the vanilla version except just in green, but the Blast Silhouette is precisely what I've expected of it and then some, since it has all the mechanics needed to not only satisfy those looking for gimmicks, but also to ensure a solid display. Sure, the girth of the cannons will harm the dodgy forearms in the long run, while the javelins are just plain comical, but it's nothing a little fortification can't fix. Whether you'd sit and wait for the standard version though, is up to you. You only get one life after all.
